The Adventures of Robin Hood

Wisconsin / Warner Brothers Screenplay Series

From a series of published screenplays (of which Captain Blood and Objective: Burma! were to have been a part of).

This book has the entire screenplay, as well as notes on how scenes were edited or to have been played. It also contains a joust sequence originally meant to establish a mutual dislike between Sirs Robin and Guy.

Behlmer analyses the legend itself: The origins of the many stories of Robin Hood, as well as their historical relevancies and inaccuracies. He reveals how the studio came to its final version of the screenplay, and takes us through production.

An excellent analytical piece.

Availability: Both editions are available. If you cannot find them in well-stocked shops or movie specialty stores, contact the U.S. publisher directly. As always, please include a Self Addressed, Stamped Envelope.
